We have posted twice on the progress of a particular project on Miami Beach. Once on 6/23/16 and once on 8/14/16.

This picture is the next step in the development of the building. In this picture you can see they are forming around our augercast piles in the pile caps and grade beams. They will then be  pouring concrete in these forms to assist in the foundation portion of the project. Our steel sheeting remains in place for the time being until portions of the walls are formed and poured. At that time most of the sheet piling will be extracted.

Augercast Piling Job in Miami Beach

This picture is part of a previous project on Miami Beach. Several months ago, we were on site performing a load test. This project consisted of steel sheeting, augercast piling and tremie seal. This picture is for (27) augercast piles installed within the sheeting cofferdam that will hold the tremie seal.

Loxahatchee Levee Project

This image is just part of an ongoing project in Loxahatchee. It combines steel sheet piling, prestressed concrete piles and timber piles for several levees in Loxahatchee.

Miami Beach Load Testing

This picture represents a 100 compression load test we are performed for a project on Miami Beach. After the compression load test, we be installing (193) 14” augercast piles x 40’ long, over 500 linear feet of sheet piling and installing a tremie seal.

Canal Embankments for the City of Tamarac, Florida

This project was for City of Tamarac. It included (2) canal embankments. We installed approximately 70 wall feet for each embankment as well as installing aluminum sheet piling, Prestressed concrete piling and a concrete cap.

Boat Ramp Restorations at Veterans Park in Tamarac

This job was located in Tamarac, in western Broward County.

The project included sheet piling installation, prestressed concrete piling  and concrete cap for boat ramp renovations.

Our “Finished” Product

When we install augercast piles and steel sheet piling it is installed at existing ground level. First the steel sheet piling is vibrated vertically into the ground until the top of the sheet pile is at ground level ….in this case around the perimeter of the property. Then we installed the augercast piling.

Each project has elevation(s) where the concrete foundation needs to be poured. This project has an elevation of 11 ft down from ground level. The earth needs to be excavated down to the specific elevation causing exposure of the piling….therefore the pile(s) of dirt.

Some or all of the dirt may be used to level out the ground.  The exposed portion of the piles will be cut down to the elevation according to plans. Once all of this is complete form boards are installed to get ready to pour the concrete foundation.
